Early Morning Riser by Katherine Heiny
When 26-year-old Jane moves to a small town in northern Michigan to teach second grade, she quickly falls for Duncan, a charming if not entirely reliable woodworker who has been divorced for 10 years and has had a lot of girlfriends. Heiny's novel, which spans 17 years in the lives of Jane, Duncan and their quirky friends and relatives, finds beauty and humor in connection, community, family, friendship and the way love can deepen over time.
