Fiona Griffiths is the most junior detective on the South Wales Major Crimes unit. When a mother and her six-year-old daughter are found dead in a squalid Cardiff squat, Fiona performs a minor-seeming task -- sometimes following the rules, sometimes not so much -- and starts to uncover a much wider and more brutal crime.

Spring 2024: Overcoming the Challenges

Detective work can be difficult, but it's even more so when the detective has his/her own personal difficulties. This spring we will read about five detectives who must deal with extraordinary challenges, mental or physical, in order to solve crimes.
