Parents are invited to join a support group to meet others and learn strategies for dealing with adolescent behavior. Maria Quiles from Wallingford Youth & Social Services will be on hand to facilitate the conversation. Topics may include:

  • adolescent development (mental health & substance abuse component)
  • blended families
  • establishing boundaries
  • drug education & current substance abuse adolescent trends
  • screen time
  • technology use
  • monitoring your teen
  • contingency planning: what to do when nothing is working?
  • navigating friendships 
  • managing negative peer associations

This group will meet on Tuesdays, November 12th-December 17th from 6-7pm.
