A Dangerous Mourning by Anne Perry

In the second William Monk mystery, the Inspector investigates the bedroom stabbing death of Octavia Haslett, the widowed daughter of Sir Basil Moidore. After Monk proves that there could not have been an outside intruder, suspicion falls on the numerous servants and family members who reside in the house. This second installment in the bestselling William Monk series evokes Victorian England with twists and turns galore.
