VIRTUAL & IN-PERSON MEETING
Say Nothing: A True Story of Murder and Memory in Northern Ireland by Patrick Radden Keefe
In 1972, 38-year-old Jean McConville was the mother of 10 when masked men took her from her home in Belfast. Three decades later, bones found on a beach were identified as hers. Keefe, a staff writer for The New Yorker, reconstructs the events and the players involved and offers a deeply observed history of the Troubles in Northern Ireland.
Moderated by Educator Susan Gomes. To participate and for details about meeting virtually or in-person, contact Cindy Haiken at chaiken@wallingfordlibrary.org.
