Join us to celebrate Native American Heritage Month with David Eichelberg, Outreach and Traditions Specialist at the Tantaquidgeon Museum in Uncasville! His presentation will explore the history and culture of the Mohegan people from the 1600's to the modern day. He will discuss the Mohegan Tribe's most influential leaders, their sacred sites, and the customs & beliefs that make them who they are today. He will also perform demonstrations of traditional drumming, singing, and flute-playing for the audience to experience firsthand. Mohegan artifacts and cultural objects will be on display during the program; following the talk, attendees will have the chance to view and handle these items and ask David questions.

This is a hybrid program; patrons have the option of attending in-person at the library or virtually on Zoom. Registration is required; please sign up below!
