Join us for the next event in our Wallingford Table series: a community celebration of Juneteenth! Juneteenth is a holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States. On Tuesday, June 18th, we will gather at St. Paul's Episcopal Church to learn all about the history, food & traditions of this storied celebration from a panel of local speakers. Attendees will enjoy delicious Juneteenth refreshments from local Black-owned restaurants and Mayor Cervoni will be present to read the official Juneteenth Proclamation. Following the panel, attendees will be invited to participate in a traditional African dance demonstration with recorded music!
