More than 110 million individuals have been forcibly displaced worldwide as a result of persecution, conflict, violence or human rights violations. From the war in Ukraine to ongoing conflict in Syria, to climate shocks and economic turmoil in East Africa and Latin America - the need is greater than ever. If you’d like to learn about the three different ways YOU and your community can help refugee families restart their lives in towns across the state of Connecticut, join us for an information session. Ann O’Brien, Director of Sponsorship at Integrated Refugee and Immigrant Services (IRIS) New Haven, will be speaking about the various ways to get involved in refugee sponsorship, followed by a Q&A. This is a hybrid program; patrons have the option of attending on Zoom or at the library. Please sign up below!
