April is National Poetry Month! To celebrate, the Poet Laureate Presents reading series will feature two rising stars in contemporary American poetry, Eugenia Leigh (author of BIANCA and Blood, Sparrows and Sparrows) and Claudia Acevedo-Quiñones (author of the forthcoming The Hurricane Book). Readings will be followed by a Q&A with the poets. Refreshments will be served.

Wallingford Poet Laureate Debora Kuan is the author of three collections of poetry, XING, Lunch Portraits, and the forthcoming Women on the Moon. She has been awarded a U.S. Fulbright fellowship and residencies at Yaddo, Macdowell, and the Santa Fe Art Institute. Her work has appeared in Poetry, The New Republic, Kenyon Review, The Iowa Review, and other magazines, and she has been widely anthologized, most recently in What Things Cost, Advanced Language and Literature, and the Brooklyn Poets Anthology.
