In the 6th installment in the Amelia Peabody series, Amelia, Emerson and Ramses have been commissioned to find an English aristocrat and his wife, who disappeared more than ten years ago. In the winter of 1897, the family head into the desert to try to solve a mystery dating back to Ancient Egypt and meet a young girl who will change their lives forever.

Fall 2022: Digging for Clues

Archeologists attempt to solve mysteries from the past, but sometimes they become involves in contemporary mysteries as well. Agatha Christie, whose second husband was the British archeologist Max Mallowan, once said, "An archeologist is the best husband any woman can get. Just consider: The older she gets, the more he is interested in her." Of course, in Christie's day, most of the professional archeologists were male; not so in this series.
