Antisemitism is defined as prejudice against or hatred of Jewish people and has existed for millennia. During the Holocaust, the largest mass genocide in human history, the Nazis and their collaborators murdered six million Jewish men, women, and children across Europe. But antisemitism didn’t start or end there. What makes it one of the oldest and most persistent forms of hatred? This presentation will trace the history of the so-called “longest hatred” from ancient times to today, showing the intersection of four basic threads: religious, socio-economic, political, and racial. This knowledge is crucial to understanding and combating antisemitism in our modern world. Registration is required; please sign up below.

This talk will be led by Steven A. Goldberg, Director of Education at the Holocaust & Human Rights Education Center in New York. It will be held the day after Holocaust Remembrance Day (Yom HaShoah) in memory of those who perished.
