Program Description

Event Details

In honor of Women’s History Month, the Wallingford Historic Preservation Trust will be sharing four vintage outfits, as well as a number of authentic objects and accessories, that would have been worn or used by women of the Gilded Age. These items will be on display in the library's Community Room between 1-6 pm on Tuesday, March 19, during which time patrons are welcome to view the exhibit at their leisure. Please note: the objects and clothing on display should not be handled or touched by visitors. The exhibit will be supervised at all times by members of the Trust. No registration is required to attend - patrons may drop in anytime during the exhibit's hours.

This program is a tie-in with our March 19 event Women & Fashion in the Gilded Age, a talk by fashion historian Ren Antonowicz co-sponsored by the Wallingford Historic Preservation Trust and the Wallingford Public Library. Please click on the link above to learn more.
